Home Button delay / Launcher seems to close / Global Search not showing up

After the latest oppo find x9 pro system Upgrade, when I press the home button all launchers seem to “close”. I see the blank wallpaper for 1 second, but not the launcher itself. Therefore the global search, which used to work when I hit the home button when I am on the home screen of Niagara, doesn't reliably pull up.

As this happens to be now with all other tested third party launchers, I sadly believe it's nothing you guys can fix. But it is so annoying that I must think of switching to the system launcher - after years of being a so happy Niagara pro user.

But I still wanted to report it. Maybe you guys find a “workaround”.

Meanwhile I'll try to find a way to get along with this stupid bug.
