Add a shortcut to a URL
It would be great to be able to add a shortcut, but not to an app or an app feature, but to a web link. Enter the URL, name it, and it will open in your default browser. I have a few links like that I want to open regularly.

This is a cool idea, and we definitely want to explore this in due time.
However, it's not high up on our list of priorities.

Hi, clicking the … icon in a browser such as Chrome and then clicking “Add to home screen” should do this for the page you're currently on!

Hi thanks, yes that’s what I thought and how I ended up opening this ticket: ‘Add to home screen’ creates a link to the landing screen of the web app as defined by the developper, not to the specific URL you want a shortcut to.

I can recommend
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.rmy.android.http_shortcuts for a third-party solution. It lets you make shortcuts to a “custom tab”, which opens the website in a window, and you can have the shortcuts in the app’s Niagara pop-up. I think you can also add them to the main app list, but I'm not completely sure.
