Blank home screen after unlocking

Bug Reports

Periodically,after unlocking (usually after a little.time has passed since the last unlock), the launcher shows only a blank screen with wallpaper and a weird drop down arrow where the Google at a glance widget is placed. Scrolling the apps, or swiping up/back restores launcher elements.

    I have the same issue on a Google Pixel 8.
    I suspect the empty screen with the combo box is actually the list of currently active apps list, since one can swipe left and right and the combo box is at the same place at it is on the app list for me.

    Yep, I have this too! Exact same phone. Whatever the view is called where you swipe up and hold, so you can swipe between apps that are open — tthis bug happens when I lock the screen while in that view, then unlock.

    Same here. On a pixel 10 pro. It started immediately after updating to android 16 QPR2.

    Exact same issue. Google Pixel 10 Pro on latest software update (Android 16). Happens about once every 5 unlocks or so, and it's definitely annoying / disorienting when unlocking and initially seeing a blank home screen.

    Similar problem with Android 16 on Pixel 7 Pro. Cannot fully reproduce when it happens, however I dare to say, that the problem started with the last Android 16 update …

    Hi guys, I admittedly got annoyed at Niagara launcher about this but I went back to Nova and I am having the exact same issue. Pixel 9a, graphene os android 16.

    Locking phone with task switcher up causes this bug for me, regardless of launcher used. Unless there are developer specific workarounds this might be an android issue.

    I get the same issue, but it happens when I close an application. I open an app, close it, and return to the home screen. For about one second, only the wallpaper is visible, and then the interface appears after one second. My Android version is 16 and app version is 1.15.6
