Calendar widget popup should show all of today's appointments

The summary shows the next event, that is helpful. Tapping on it shows the summary for today, but it is empty/ useless if the appointments were before the current time. 6:30pm reminder to take out the trash cans doesn't show it it is 7pm. The pop up should show the entire day, like a calendar app would
