Can't open apps via recently used apps overview

Recently, in the last few months or so, there's an issue that I can't go from the app overview of recently used apps into any apps. I will see e.g. that I recently had WhatsApp and Chrome open, see the preview windows, and when I tap them, a short effect is shown of the app being tapped (the picture of it moving briefly backward and forward again), but I cannot switch back to this app or open it. The only way to open it is to find it in my list of apps and open it that way. Restarting the phone helps but the issue always comes back and makes using the phone tedious.

I have switched to olauncher for a few weeks to avoid the issue and see if it is a device problem or a problem with the app and I never had the issue with olauncher. I still like your app better though, so it would be great if you could fix it. :)
