Can't see google calendar event in calendar widget

I am unable to see my google calendar events in the calendar widget. I was able to see them before but not after the recent update. When I click filter events I can only local calendar and Samsung calendar show up, but not google calendar. Google calendar is my default calendar app though, when i click the date it opens google calendar.
