Clunky transition/animation glitch when closing landscape apps from a favorites pop-up folder

When closing a game that runs in landscape orientation and returning to the home screen, there is a noticeable lag or visual "clunkiness" in the transition animation.

Key Details & Context

  • Trigger: The issue specifically occurs when exiting apps that force a landscape orientation back to the portrait home screen.

  • Location: The apps are being launched from a Pop-up Folder pinned to the Favorites list.

  • Orientation: Portrait-oriented apps/games launched from the same folder close smoothly without any animation stutter.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a Pop-up Folder in the Favorites list (e.g., named "Games").

  2. Place a game or app that forces landscape orientation into that folder.

  3. Open the folder and launch the landscape game.

  4. Close the game (swipe to go home or press the home button) to return to the Niagara Launcher home screen.

  5. Observe the transition animation back to the home screen.
