Conditional Widgets (like with music apps currently)
Display widgets conditionally depending on a state like being connected to a specific bluetooth device, being connected to a specific WiFi etc.
It would be nice to display widgets for headphones (giving status info) but only if these headphones are connected, otherwise these widgets are often blank and therefore ugly and useless. This ofc extends to many other usecases, headphones is just the one I was thinking of.

Similarly: I would like the app that controls my over ear headphones to appear when they connect, and the app for my earbuds to pop up when I'm using them instead.

Yeah, minimalistic pop-ups that blends into the esthetics of the home screen. It would also be cool if they had a dedicated widget that only pops up when apps like music players are actively playing in the background.
I also find the “bulkiness” of the social media app notifications quite unappealing. Like it would've looked much cleaner if the app, like whatsapp for example, only displayed a small green or red dot (or whatever customizable color) on the edge of the app icon if you have a notification from that app, you can then go to the icon and swipe to read the message from there, rather than having parts of the message being displayed on the side of the app. It kinda looks ugly when the app icon partially displays the message like that on the home screen.

Additionally to this, I would appreciate if we could define when certain apps appear in the Favourites. (e.g. on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 6:00AM to 7:00AM and 5:00PM to 6:00PM, the transport time app appears)
