Currency / generic money icon

As a UK user, it would be nice for my banking/money apps to have a £ sign instead of $.

I appreciate you won't want to have loads of currency specific options though, so maybe a more generic alternative could be considered? Like a piggy bank (I'm not very creative, so maybe not the best idea!).
