Custom search engines
I think the user could add their own search engines (similar to what current browsers currently allow) to the Niagara search bar. As in, allowing to set custom URLs and shortcuts in the same %s format, which when searched would open the correct site in the default browser.
Even if autocompletions doesn't work, it would help immensely.

This is necessary for using Kagi with Firefox Focus as the default browser, so that you can put your Kagi token in as a URL parameter. Otherwise, searching just brings you to a login page, as Firefox Focus intentionally doesn’t keep you permanently logged in like other browsers do.

So, today I switch from Google search to Ecosia. Unfortunately I couldn't achieve this with Niagara Launcher 🤔

Just wanted to chime in, made an account just now specifically to up vote this FR. Would love to see it. Good possibility I'd use Niagara as my default launcher with this implemented. As someone who hosts their own search engine this is essential to me.

It' will make many things a lot more easier.Apart from this, Implementing Bangs feature (like !w, w(space) for Wikipedia) for instantly searching from launcher search bar will also greatly increase launcher efficiency. It will be more convenient if it supports both standard bangs and user-defined custom bangs like kagi
