Customize distance from top of screen of selected letter

When scrolling to a specific letter the first app with that letter appears quite far from the bottom of my screen. My fingers are not that long so I then usually need to scroll back down a bit or change how I hold the phone to be able to reach the first app. This is especially cumbersome as the most used apps are automatically sorted to the top and therefore are the hardest to reach.

It would be nice to be able to adjust this distance so the selected letter appears closer to the bottom of the screen.
