D-pad right input unexpectedly opens folders on AYN Thor (v1.16.33)

On the AYN Thor handheld, pressing right on the D-pad or moving the analog stick to the right unexpectedly activates items on the Niagara home screen, causing folders to open.

The issue occurs in Niagara Launcher 1.16.33 but not in 1.16.31. Downgrading to 1.16.31 resolves the problem.

The same issue does not occur on the AYN Odin 2 Portal running the latest Niagara version.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install Niagara Launcher 1.16.33 on an AYN Thor.

  2. Add a folder to the home screen.

  3. Press right on the D-pad or move the analog stick to the right.

  4. Observe that the folder opens unexpectedly.

Expected behavior:
Pressing right should not unintentionally open folders or activate home screen items.

    Posting here to save David the trouble of having to be the messenger for my emails:

    Here’s a video of me on 1.16.32 on my Retroid Pocket Nova showing the right directional commands working as expected, then updating from the Play Store to 1.16.33, and the issue appearing. So this issue is specific to a change in .33.

      Just like my Ayn Thor and Odin 2 Portal, the Retroid Pocket Nova is on Android 13 (latest available for the device).

      I want to clarify that this issue is in fact appearing on my Odin 2 Portal as well, so I’m guessing my Odin 2 Portal was on .32 and not .33 when I initially reported it as not affecting the Odin 2 to David.
