Quando eu volto para a tela inicial tem um breve delay para reconhecer o toque na tela, o que faz com que eu tenha que esperar um pouco para clicar no próximo app que quero abrir

    Pelo que vimos até agora, a causa está na navegação por gestos do Android e não no launcher. O problema está registrado no rastreador de erros do Google, onde votar também dá peso a ele: issuetracker.google.com/issues/353538494. Uma coisa ajudaria a confirmar, já que no formulário isso ficou como "Not Tested": acontece o mesmo com outro launcher de terceiros definido como padrão?

    From what we've seen so far the cause sits in Android's gesture navigation rather than in the launcher. It's filed on Google's issue tracker, where upvoting adds weight: issuetracker.google.com/issues/353538494. One thing would help confirm it, since the form says "Not Tested": does the same happen with another third-party launcher set as default?
