Dimming the background when searching

As of today you can chose to dim the background when searching for an app, with the intention to help you see better the apps you search for. But unfortunately it is very little dimming so the background bleeds through and still makes it hard to see what you search. Especially when the background has text. My suggestion is an option to simply chose how much dimming you as an individual wishes to use depending on how much the background bleeds through. I think many would appreciate such feature, especially if you have background with text and / or are using glasses / lenses because of how bad you can see.
