Hey everyone,
I absolutely love the minimalist, efficiency-first approach of Niagara Launcher. To take that seamless workflow to the next level, I’d love to propose a feature for Dynamic Favorites based on time or location.
Right now, our Favorites list is static. However, the apps we need drastically change depending on where we are or what time of day it is. Having the same layout while sitting at a work desk versus being out at a park or winding down for bed can feel a bit cluttered or inefficient.
The ability to set up Context Profiles that automatically swap out your Favorites list. For example:
Work/School Profile (Location or Time-based): Instantly surfaces Slack, Outlook, Authenticator apps, and your calendar.
On-the-Go / Park Profile (Location-based): Automatically switches to Maps, Spotify, Spotify, or your camera app.
Home / Evening Profile (Time-based): Drops the work apps and displays smart home controls, e-readers, or streaming apps.
Niagara is all about giving you the exact app you need, right when you need it, with zero distractions. Introducing context-aware Favorites would make the home screen feel incredibly adaptive and intelligent, without sacrificing the clean, single-list aesthetic we all love.
I think this would be a massive quality-of-life upgrade for anyone using Niagara as their daily driver.
