Dynamic Island not showing on launcher

New android 17 added a dynamic Island for camera notch and it stops working when I'm at home screen of Niagara launcher. It works on other apps screen like photos and phone.

Also I have noticed that some app, mostly moto or google apps don't use animations when closing or swipe to go back to the home screen. They just close randomly after a second like a hickup. Other apps use the smooth animation like swiping down.

The Launcher is awesome though. Thank you and all the best

Thanks for the report, and for the kind words! Taking your two observations separately. The missing close and swipe-to-home animations are a known limitation: third-party launchers cannot interact with the first-party launcher submodule that provides the recents screen, so some system animations, returning to the home screen above all, cannot be replicated. That is exactly the hiccup you describe on some apps while others animate normally. Background: App Launch Animations.

The Dynamic Island part is new to us, and there is one lead worth checking: another user reported that their OEM island (vivo's Origin Island) does not work while Niagara's "hide status bar" option is enabled. Do you have that option turned on? Their report: Origin Island not working when hide status bar is selected.

Your form says another launcher has not been tested yet. If the island stays away on your Edge 70 with, say, Nova set as default too, that points at Android 17 rather than at Niagara, and that comparison is the quickest way to tell the two apart. A short screen recording in this thread helps as well.
