Navigating to the right app or feature quickly is key to productivity. While Niagara’s alphabetized scroll is elegant, searching still requires typing the exact app name.
Proposed Feature:
Introduce AI-powered smart search shortcuts that understand intent—not just app names. For example, typing "edit photo" suggests Snapseed, Lightroom, or Google Photos; typing "book a ride" suggests Uber or Bolt. The system learns over time and adapts to user habits.
Key Requirements:
Simple: Built into the existing search bar with no extra setup—just smarter suggestions.
Impactful: Speeds up access for all users, especially those with many apps.
Universal: Works in any language and adapts to regional app usage.
Independent: Seamless fallback to regular search if AI is disabled or unavailable.
Optionally, let users plug in their own LLM token for privacy-conscious or power-use
r configurations.
