Google Messages bubbles hide on home screen

Hi,

I noticed that Google Messages chat bubbles are visible everywhere except the Niagara Launcher home screen and app drawer, where they get hidden. Is it possible to make them stay on the screen when I’m on these screens?

I'm on Pixel 7. Also just wanted to mention that they stay on screen on home screen of the default Pixel launcher.
