I have used a multitude of launchers for Android ever since The AT&T Captivate and by far Niagra is the simplest. One real annoyance, that Google claims is a feature, wallpaper zooming. You set up a wallpaper perfectly and size it according to the screen size of your device and Android insists on zooming in instead of simply applying it. Other launchers have the ability to uncheck the zooming even though Android Wallpaper app cannot. It forces a user to adjust the wallpaper size between 5% - 10% oversize to get the proper look as iff the wallpaper were not zoomed in. While I am not a programmer, I believe this is set using the WallpaperService.Engine onZoomChanged where 1 is not zoomed and 0 is fully zoomed.
I know that live wallpaper’s do not zoom, but it is not easy, even with KLWP to take all your images and turn them into live wallpapers.
This only needs to be a toggle. Turn off the automatic wallpaper zoom.
