Hide the list of apps and keep only widgets

I’ve been using the Niagara Launcher for the last 2-3 days, and I can say I’m really enjoying it.

Onething I feel missing and is actually frustrating is seeing the list of apps all the time. I love minimalism, and I like enjoying the wallpapers, and also keep some of the classic launchers, when pressing home button, hide the list, keep only minimal information.

When we touch the screen or I may be a gesture to configure (double tap?), list appears and continue enjoying the experience.

But this is my own experience and I feel like it would be a nice addition.
