Icon Assistant failing when using Monet icon packs

Feature Request

I've encountered issues with the Icon Assistant failing when using Monet icon packs. After switching wallpapers and updating the Monet colors, the Icon Assistant stops working. This has happened with several Monet icon packs, including Glass Material You (dev.narikdesign.glassyou) and Everything You Adaptive (dev.narikdesign.nam). The issue consistently occurs after changing wallpapers when the system updates the Monet colors. However, if I re-apply the icon pack, the Icon Assistant starts working again.

Thanks, the screenshots make this one easy to follow: the circled icons come back as the app's own icon while everything around them stays themed, and re-applying the pack brings them back in line. That is worth keeping apart from your other report, The Monet icon pack cannot update colors., where two icons kept the old Monet color while the long press pop-up already showed the new one. Same trigger, different outcome.

One answer would tell us whether these are one bug or two: in that other report, are the two icons ones Icon Assistant filled in for you because the pack has no icon for those apps, or does the pack ship them itself? Icon Assistant only steps in where a pack has a hole (Icon Assistant), so if both reports are about icons it filled, they very likely share a cause.

Either way, re-applying the pack as a workaround is a good find and it is on the record now. Answering in whichever of the two threads you prefer is fine, and you will be notified when the status changes.

In this report, I’m using Glass Material You (dev.narikdesign.glassyou). For example, Via (mark.via) has an icon provided by the icon pack, so it does not use Icon Assistant. However, after the system updates the Monet colors, the icon disappears. Re-applying the icon pack fixes it.

In the other report, I checked some apps that use Icon Assistant. After the system updates the Monet colors, some icons update correctly, while others do not.
