Hello Niagara Team,
I am a big fan of Niagara Launcher's minimalist design. I would like to suggest an improvement regarding the Clock Widget styles, specifically for users with non-English system locales (e.g., Korean ko-KR).
The Issue:
In the clock styles where the day of the week appears as large background typography (masked behind the time info), the text currently follows the system language.
For example, in Korean, "Thursday" is rendered as a single character "목".
Unlike English letters, a single CJK character is dense and blocky.
When masked or overlapped by foreground info, it doesn't look like a stylish graphic element. Instead, it looks like broken text or a rendering error, which ruins the visual balance.
My Suggestion:
Please consider forcing the background day-of-week text to always display in English (e.g., "THU" instead of "목"), regardless of the user's system locale.
Why: English typography works much better as a graphical background element due to its geometric shape.
Result: This change would maintain the intended minimalist aesthetic and provide a consistent design experience for global users, while the foreground date/time can remain localized.
I have attached a screenshot to show how the Korean character breaks the design balance. Thank you for considering this feedback!
