Media player does not work for a specific app.
The app Chillhop livestream is a music player app. I thought that this app would work with the media player widget of the Niagara launcher. This does not seem to be the case on my phone. Is this true, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance for the reply

Good question, and you are not doing anything wrong. Niagara's media widget shows whatever Android itself reports as a running media player, so the quickest check is this: while Chillhop is playing, pull down the notification shade and fully expand the quick settings. If the player does not appear there either, the app is not publishing a media session, and then there is nothing for the launcher to pick up.
If it does appear there, two things on your side usually explain it. Niagara Settings > Productivity > Media Player has to be turned on, and notifications for the Chillhop app have to be enabled. Battery saver can also swallow the media notification, so excluding Niagara from it is worth a try.
The full list of causes is in Integrated Media Player. Let us know here in the thread which of the two it turns out to be.

Hi,
Thank you for helping. In the quick settings, it does appear as a media player. Media Player is turned on, and I have allowed all notifications for the Chillhop Livestream app. But even when I turn the battery saver off, the widget still does not appear…
