Media Player Widget stuck in screen

I have just updated my phone to Android 17. The Media player widget gets stuck on the screen even after closing the media app. Error video attached.

    Thanks for the report and for recording the video! Niagara shows the media widget for as long as Android itself reports an active media session, so the most telling check is Android's own player: pull down the quick settings panel and expand it fully while the widget is stuck. Is the system media player still sitting there too?

    If it is, the session is still alive on the system side and the player app is keeping it open. If Android's player is already gone and only our widget stays, that's on us and we'd like to dig in. Which app were you playing from when this happened?

    You're also a few versions behind, the current release is v1.16.26, so updating is worth doing either way.
