Media Widget Permanently on Home Screen

Is it possible that we can customize the media widget? For an instance like it appear or pin it on the home screen permanently not just appear only when a media plays? And like the option that can be turned the widget on or off? Because for me the space of my customized home screen kinda destroys it when the media player pops-up.
