Hi there, unfortunately, Niagara Launcher (and any other third-party launcher) has no control over the recent apps view and can’t close applications on your behalf. Thus, we won’t be able to implement this feature.
Generally, I suspect that moving the “close all” button to the end of the list was a deliberate design decision from Google, as closing apps can actually harm your battery life and performance instead of improving it. This is because opening apps from scratch usually requires the most resources, whereas keeping the app suspended in memory barely requires any computation power. Likewise, the memory usage is already efficiently managed by the operating system, which will start closing apps only if the memory fills up completely.
