I think there should be an option to toggle pitch black mode where we can fully utilise the AMOLED display and also save the battery. This would look good also.
I would love this too, although I'd prefer it to be implemented as a solid-color background option within the Theme Editor rather than as another separate toggle.
For example, when choosing a theme background, there could simply be a "Solid color" option alongside wallpapers, with pure black (#000000) as one of the presets.
That would make it possible to create and save genuinely minimal / AMOLED themes without having to create and import a plain black image just to use it as a wallpaper. It could also support other solid colors without adding another setting to the launcher.
