Please revisit decision to not launch custom weather app

Please add a way to customize which weather app to launch when tapping on forecast widget in agenda view.

I know this is covered in Minimal Weather Widget help page:

If tapping on it would bring you to another weather app, the data wouldn't necessarily match (because of different forecasting methods), which would be an unpleasant user experience.

I argue this is not a good reason. Yes, the forecasts don’t necessarily match. But that is a reason for supporting a thirdparty application, not against it.

I use and prefer a local/national weather app, for obvious reasons. I trust it more. It also has good rain maps. I understand API integration is out of the question but why not allow custom app launch on the forecast widget tap?
