Pressing home on my physical keyboard opens Pasteria text bar

this feels like a very nuance bug, but it’s affecting my enjoyment of this launcher enough for me to write this and record the issue. it’s a pretty annoying bug so any help is appreciated.

i am using the unihertz titan 2 which has a physical keyboard. when i press the home key on the keyboard, it seems like it programmatically simulates swipe up on android, which takes me back to home screen. i verified this with “swipe up to search” feature, and pressing home button cycles through search and home screen.

however, pressing home from another app to go to home screen also prompts Pasteria’s keyboard to be activated (which is my device’s keyboard app). you can see the keyboard toolbar with the symbols in the recording. this is the bug

the question is how to pinpoint this being a niagara app bug vs unihertz launcher vs pasteria bug.

evidence

in my attached recordings, you can see that restarting niagara launcher also causes Pasteria to be triggered.

this bug also does not happen with the stock launcher.

this bug also recently started happening, like within the last week, which leads me to believe that it’s a Niagara launcher bug in a recent release.

steps to replicate:

1. have Pasteria app installed and set to device input method. verify that toolbar shows up on input entry

2. go into an app, and swipe up to go home (likely how unihertz titan 2 simulates keyboard home button)

3. text bar shows up when it should not

unfortunately i dont have another device to test this on.
