Quick access to calendar

Clicking the date below the clock opens a box with the time and a smaller view of the calendar showing upcoming events. I think it would be helpful to have a calendar icon in the upper right corner of the box to open the app directly. This would make it quick (two clicks) to open the calendar and eliminate the need to bookmark it to open the app.
