Recents app options become stuck on the recents tab

I'm not sure yet what causes it, it does seem kinda random. but a random app will have its recents options stuck in the recents menu, with no way to get rid of it. if you press on one of the options it’ll perform it on the app that got stuck there, but in the video that app was deleted so pressing App Info doesn't take you to an app info screen. switching back to the pixel launcher makes it go away, but it comes back when I switch back to niagara
