Removing summary notifications is harder than removing normal notifications

It's too hard to dismiss notifications one by one without losing track of where you are. I am a big fan of the Apple IOS notification summary feature, which is why this implementation piqued my interest.

I get a few notifications, and I get variable number of notifications depending on the app. However, I have both financial and news notifications that aren't urgent, but are important. Thus, I rely on swiping (dismissing) them to ensure I handle them first.

Sadly, there are really problems: firstly, the summary list will reset its scroll location. Where was I? Where an I? Secondly, the whole panel refreshes with a relatively slow out and in fade. Combine the behaviour with the removal of an entry and you easily get lost in-between refreshes.

Ways to mitigate involve:

• Do remember the scroll outsiders

• Do keep other elements on the screen and move then towards the missing space after swiping
