User story: As a Niagara user I’d like to occasionally yet quickly see the time at the granularity of seconds so that I know exactly how much time I have until e.g. my next public transport connection, online meeting, etc.
Suggested solution: Right swipe on the Niagara clock widget temporarily displays seconds. (Same gesture as for displaying notifications so it fits well in the current UX.) Displaying seconds for 5 seconds could be enough (similar to a toast message that disappears on its own). If the seconds are displayed for longer (e.g. one minute), a left swipe to hide them again could be an intuitive inversion of the gesture.
Open question: Does a right swipe on the clock widget have competing feature requests and would it need to be configurable?
Workaround for now: Adding a clock widget with seconds to the pop-up of the first favorited app. That way a right swipe opening the pop-up allows ephemerally seeing time with seconds.
