Samsung UI Integration (Search, OneHand Operation Gestures, Anycons IconPack)

The launcher integrates well into OneUI.

There are two issues for me:

1. Access to search function via shortcut/gesture

I’m currently using a gesture with Samsung One Hand Operation to quickly open the Finder.

Since the Anycons are not integrated into Samsung Search, I’d like to directly open the Niagara search with a gesture.

There’s the option to execute a home screen shortcut (app context menu), but unfortunately the launcher doesn’t provide any.

2. Anycons outside of the launcher

When using the side panel, the Anycons cannot be displayed. It would be great if it were possible to download an icon package to set the app icons in the side panel separately with ThemePark, etc.

Has anyone experienced similar problems and managed to solve them?

💬 My Follow-up / Technical Suggestion for Point 1 (Search Access)

Thank you for considering my request regarding the search shortcut! I wanted to follow up on Point 1 (Access to search function via shortcut/gesture) with a technical suggestion that might facilitate implementation:

The current workaround (e.g., using MacroDroid for a screen tap automation) is slow and unstable. A native shortcut mechanism would be much better.

The Solution: The easiest and most preferred solution would be for Niagara Launcher to provide a standard public shortcut action (e.g., an App Shortcut or an Activity) that is directly selectable within shortcut apps like Samsung One Hand Operation+ or other shortcut makers.

Technical Proposal for Implementation (if a standard shortcut action is not possible):

To allow external tools like Samsung One Hand Operation+ or Tasker to reliably and instantly launch the Niagara App Search, could you please implement a public Intent Action that specifically triggers the App Search UI?

    • Suggested Implementation:

Could a public Intent Action (e.g., com.niagaralockscreen.launcher.START_SEARCH) be implemented in the MainActivity to allow external apps to directly launch the app search feature?

Implementing a standard shortcut or this Intent would provide a fast, stable, and universal method for power users to integrate the core Niagara search into their preferred gesture tools.

    Visual Proof of Current Challenges:

    • Image 1: OneHand Operation shortcuts (Shows the limited selection of shortcuts)

    • Image 2 & 3: Shortcut Maker (Shows that no specific search activity can currently be found/selected)

    • Image 4: Tap sequence in MacroDroid (Illustrates the clumsy, unreliable workaround that needs to be replaced)

You're looking for access to a search bar for your apps?

If yes, when I swipe up from my home screen I get a search bar for my apps that display the anycons.
