Scrolling alphabet shows all apps, not just current letter

I'd like to see the apps before and after the currently scrolled alphabet.

Why? I usually know “about” where the app I'm looking for is in the alphabet. I don't want to have to be so precise while scrolling the alphabet.

This is the screen where I'd like to see all apps, not just the E apps.
