   • ​Action: While still pressing down, slide your finger horizontally to the left over the app list area.

   • ​Result: You enter App List Scroll Mode, locking in the starting letter. The vertical movement of your finger now controls the app list.

3. ​Fine-Tune Selection (Vertical Scroll on List):

   • ​Action: Slide your finger vertically up or down over the app list area.

   • ​Result: The entire app list scrolls, allowing you to fine-tune your selection within the current letter group (e.g., scroll from "Gmail" to "GoodRx").

4. ​Launch App (Tap/Lift):

   • ​Action: Lift your finger (or perform a final tap) when the desired app is under your finger.
