Sort folders into the alphabetical all-apps list

This will be super nice in making the launcher less cluttered. Sometimes I have a lot of apps that I use from time to time, but because I have a lot apps the menu is cluttered, so it would be nice to have a way to put those apps in a folder, then hide them from the app list, but still be able to easily rich them by pressing the letter for the name of the folder

Arguably not complex (generally speaking - not that I'm familiar with the codebase), it's a lot more intuitive than the default.

This should be a must have feature. I have folders for health, work. Etc. Just because the folders are the end, I have to go down and find the right folders again in the order. As my folders growing more (currently at 7), selection everytime iis getting tougher. Please re-consider the decision. Thanks

I really hope you’ll reconsider adding an option to sort folders alphabetically with the rest of the apps.

Right now, folders sit separately at the bottom in a pop-up, and it feels a bit out of place. Not as smooth as the rest of Niagara’s flow. It would be awesome if folders just blended naturally into the All Apps list in alphabetical order.

It’s a small detail, but it would make the launcher feel even more seamless and polished

I respectfully want you to revisit this topic.

I understand you don't want to add unnecessary complexity, but this feature has significant user demand and addresses a fundamental user experience issue.

The problem:

Many users naturally expect folders to appear alphabetically with apps. When they create a "Google" folder, they instinctively look under "G" - not in a separate section at the bottom. This creates friction in daily use.

The solution:

A single setting "Sort folders with apps alphabetically" (on/off) would solve this. You could make either behavior the default, whatever feels right for most of your user base.

Why this toggle is worth it:

This isn't a niche request, it's one of your most voted features (Github included) because it affects how people fundamentally organize their apps in daily usage. This would be a single, clear toggle that users set once and forget, giving everyone what they want without forcing anyone to change their established habits.

The current system works for some users, but clearly doesn't match expectations for many others.

Would you consider adding this as an optional setting?

Bummed this is marked as rejected - I would have expected to find my “Games” folder under “G” - ah well, I suspect I will just get used to them being together at the bottom and it won’t be a big deal once I’ve trained my brain.

Please reconsider this. “Complexity is of an added toggle” doesn't seem like a good reason to reject something as simple as “sorting items in a list alphabetically”. Why would I want “Games” and “Google” to not be sorted under “G”?

“Complexity” is a cop-out answer and disingenuous. It's not at all complex, as evidenced by other launchers having this quite simple functionality.
