Swipe up doesn't open keyboard sometimes.

Bug Reports

It happens 50% of the times. When you swipe up to search, the search screen loads but the keyboard doesn't open sometimes and sometimes it does. The expected behaviour is that it opens all the time.

I have the same issue on poco f4 5g, android 16, custom Rom matrixx v12.4, Niagara Launcher Version 1.16.31, this happens when swiping up from the very bottom but when going a bit higher it does work.

I have the same issue on Google Pixel 11, Android 17, Niagara Launcher Version 1.16.23

(+ I see multiple reports on Reddit of the same issue on Google Pixel 10)

If I swipe up from the very bottom of the screen the keyboard never appears.

If I swipe up from slightly higher up on the screen, it usually does appear *

*Sometimes it still doesn’t, if I have just swiped up to go back to launcher and then immediately swiped up again to search without waiting a moment.
