"Swipe up to search" immediately closes again

While “Swipe up to search” works fine in folded mode, the feature stops working when the phone is unfold.

Steps

1. Open (unfold) the phone

2. Swipe up to search

3. The search bar appears for a second

4. The search bar disappears right away
