Swipe up to show frequently used Apps

With the swipe up gesture right now it is only to provide searching and it is showing recently installed Apps. I think it is a waste. Why not use the space below the search bar to directly shows all the frequently used Apps? In this case we don't actually needs to type to look for something we always open but not showing in the default page. Just a better use of the space
