The left side of the home screen (which we use less often) could be used to search for apps by color (the colors wouldn’t be visible like the alphabet; they would only appear after touching the left side), while the right side would work as usual for searching for apps alphabetically. This would make it possible to quickly find an app by its color if you temporarily forgot its name. For left-handed users, the functionality could be reversed in the productivity settings, or color-based app search could be disabled entirely. Searching by icon color would be disabled when an icon pack is active.
