Theme background dissappers

I use Niagara Pro on a Fairphone 5 (Android). It's a great app. However, when I choose a different theme, the associated wallpaper disappears after a while and the previous one returns. I've repeatedly restarted Niagara, cleared the app cache, and tried different themes, but this keeps happening. What can I do, or is this a bug?
