Theme reloads when switching Fold inner and outer display with different wallpapers

On a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Niagara appears to reload the home screen/theme when switching between the outer and inner display while using different wallpapers for each screen. The clock color also changes depending on the active screen/wallpaper.

The user reports that the issue does not happen when using the same theme/wallpaper on both displays.

  1. Use a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.

  2. Set different wallpapers or themes for the outer and inner display.

  3. Switch between the outer and inner screen.

  4. Niagara briefly reloads, apps reappear, and the clock color may change.

  5. Set the same theme/wallpaper on both displays.

  6. The reload does not appear to happen.

    A user also reported a similar issue on a Samsung Fold 7 running One UI 8.5 and Android 16.

    When unfolding the phone, Niagara appears to reload as a separate launcher instance and then shows up in the Recent apps / Overview screen. Swiping that card away returns them to the original launcher instance.

    User also reported this on an OPPO Find N6. When folding the device, the clock design resets each time. This seems related to the display change between folded and unfolded mode.
