Ultra battery save Mode disables Niagara
When switching between ultra battery save Mode and normal Mode, this action disables Niagara Launcher and the app needs to be launched manually.
The bigger issue is that this Switches often makes everything unresponsive.

Thanks for the report! Ultra battery saving is a system mode that decides which apps may run, and on several devices it drops the home app back to the preinstalled launcher. You can set Niagara back under Android settings > Apps > Default apps > Home app, and excluding Niagara from battery optimization makes it stick more reliably: Niagara Launcher Not Staying As Default.
For the unresponsive part: you are on 1.16.18, and 1.16.22 added a workaround for a known Android bug that freezes the launcher's interface while the launcher itself keeps running. Updating is the first thing to try, and if it still happens afterwards, let us know here.
