Widget Stack problem with Gmail

I use 4 widget stacks; google calendar, google keep notes, google tasks, and gmail. It was working fine for the first month I got Niagara, but now Gmail doesn't load anymore. I have to restart my phone for the inbox to load in the widget stack. Removing it and adding it back again doesn't work because when selecting which folder to show, it doesn't show any options.
