Widgets have loss of function

I use the stacked widget feature, and specifically widgets like Google Keep & Tasks. Both of those widgets & others have buttons on the far right that I cant use because the scrolling app search pops up instead.

Is there a way to only have the app search pop up in I swipe in from the right of the screen?
