Search keyboard not opening

    Thanks for the report.

    This issue has been difficult to reproduce, but we are aware of it and plan on a thorough investigation of what causes the behavior.

    It would be immensely useful to get more information about the devices this issue appears on and what ways can be used to reproduce it.

    The information necessary is:

    • Android version

    • Device name

    • Niagara Launcher version

    • Whether the issue appears when using the swipe gesture and whether it appears when using the search button in the all-apps list.

    • Whether the issue appears when using gesture navigation or 3-button-navigation.

    If you have a way to consistently reproduce the issue, please let us know as well.

      This issue has been pressent since Many previous versions of Niagara. Also since Android 14.

      I had this issue on my Pixel 7 Pro and my current S25 Ultra.

      For the record I stopped using Niagara since a week because of OneUI 7. On both my phone I use gestures navigation. I think it is also the cause of this.

      Because I had this issue for so long I had enough time to figure out when it happens. If you swipe up from all the way at the bottom up, you will not get the keyboard. If you swipe up a cm from the bottom you will get the keyboard. My guess the bottom navigation gesture is the cause of all this.

    Keyboard does not show when swiping up

    Niagara launcher pro version 1.13.17

    1 in 5 times when I swipe up to show all my apps the keyboard does not show. Focus is on the search input field but I still have to click the keyboard button in the bottom right to show the keyboard. This is annoying especially because it only happens 20% of the time because I can’t rely on the behaviour making it less efficient which was the purpose of buying this app.

    I tried restarting my phone, clearing the launcher’s cache and reinstalling the launcher. None helped.

    Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help analyse the issue.

    Keyboard often doesn't launch when search apps

    When I use the gesture to bring up the search feature, I would say it only launches the keyboard 75% of the time, and then the other 20% of the time nothing happens and I have to go back to the home screen and do the gesture again. This bug has persisted through a couple different app versions since I've been using Niagara.
