Blank screen after unlocking phone

Niagara launcher Pro version 1.13.17

Once in every 7 times that I unlock my phone the launcher does not show at all. I have to swipe up, which usually does work, to show the menu and dismiss that and the launcher will show again. With launcher in this context I mean the list of favourites, clock, weather calendar. The wallpaper does always show.

I’ve tried restarting the phone, clearing the launcher cache and reinstalling the launcher app. None have helped.

Not sure what I can provide as this is not consistently reproducible but very annoying as you can imagine. I’ve seen a couple of other similar reports in the play store, could not find any here.

Let me know if there’s anything I can do to provide more info.

    This appears to be an operating system bug on Pixel devices that should be fixed in the latest system update. Please report back if you still experience this issue.

    Blank home screen after unlocking

    Periodically,after unlocking (usually after a little.time has passed since the last unlock), the launcher shows only a blank screen with wallpaper and a weird drop down arrow where the Google at a glance widget is placed. Scrolling the apps, or swiping up/back restores launcher elements.

      I have the same issue on a Google Pixel 8.
      I suspect the empty screen with the combo box is actually the list of currently active apps list, since one can swipe left and right and the combo box is at the same place at it is on the app list for me.

    Sometimes Niagara opens a blank screen when unlocking phone.

    When I unlock the phone Niagara shows an empty screen. See screen shot for an example.

      Thanks for reporting this. We can confirm and reproduce the issue at the very least on Android 16.

      However, we have also confirmed that the issue also appears when using any other third-party launchers, so this seems to be a system issue rather than specific to Niagara Launcher.

      We will continue to investigate.

        What about closing recents (aka app switcher view) when locking the phone on affected devices? Even just opt in toggle in settings for such closing would be great as an hotfix, if you can not recognize affected devices programmatically. This is really annoying behaviour right now that lasts too long. I understand that it might be tricky to address such system issue cleanly, so would totally welcome such hotfix.
