I was recently tempted to try out the new themes feature, but there was one major blocker for me: I had no way to store my currently carefully crafted home screen setup. I tried the Back-up and restore feature, but that feels like a hack and it also didn't fully restore everything perfectly.
I'd like to have my current background and settings like a theme, so I can quickly get back to it, when trying out other themes.

100% this. it's what I thought custom themes would be for originally 😅. I think it would work best if there were two separate buttons - one for saved themes and one for themes by the Niagara team

You should also be able to change a few settings like showing the alphabet or hiding it. Also it would be quite nice to set the background to a live background provided by an app with the themes, but I doubt that would be possible.

And maybe select a set of favorite apps to enable different profiles

Yesss!! Would be nice to have different themes with different favorites and Niagara button (home, work, etc) that could be changed automatically with a schedule or something like that.

Save and Load my own theme/configuration
