Wallpaper picker skips home screen / lock screen selection

After updating to Niagara Launcher 1.16.7, setting a wallpaper through Niagara appears to skip Android’s usual selection dialog for choosing Home screen, Lock screen, or both. The wallpaper is applied directly to both screens.

  1. Open an image from the phone’s wallpaper or gallery settings.

  2. Select Niagara Launcher / Niagara wallpaper option.

  3. Apply the wallpaper.

  4. The wallpaper is set directly without showing the Home screen / Lock screen selection.

    Additional report:

    Device: Samsung Galaxy A71 Android / OS: One UI 5.1 Niagara version: 1.16.9

    User reports that the Home screen / Lock screen wallpaper selection no longer appears. The issue happens with both Niagara wallpapers and gallery photos.

    The user confirms that this selection dialog used to appear on the same device before.

      This is the reason am here, that's what am about to complain about.

      I think they should do something about it, it's not nice. 😞
